School Visit Overview
Joey Welsh has worked professionally as an artist and graphic designer since 1995. He is also a published childrenbook’s author & illustrator. His presentation focuses on teaching the basic skills of writing and illustrating. In step-by-step examples, Joey discusses how he designs his characters, develops illustration ideas and where the inspiration comes for his stories. He will also demonstrate his digital illustration technique. The presentation is supported with a vibrant slideshow providing opportunity for interaction and lots of laughter. He closes each session by answering student's questions.

Drawing Workshop
In addition to the presentations, Joey can also conduct a drawing workshop with the children. This workshop works best with smaller groups to provide adequate attention for individuals. The workshop is a a great opportunity to get to know the students. He will spend time teaching the students fundamental drawing skills and introducing them to some of his techniques.
